10 Short Films you cannot miss at the 24th Busan International Film Festival

busanshortfilms2019We present a list of ten short films that you shouldn’t miss at the 24th Busan International Film Festival which will take place from October 3rd – 12th, in Busan, Korea.

About the festival:
The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) held annually in Haeundaegu, Busan (Korea) is one of the most important film festivals in Asia, together with the Hong Kong International Film Festival and the Tokyo International Film Festival. Since the first edition in 1996, the festival aim to introduce new films and first-time directors to the world. Another notable feature is the appeal of the festival to young people, both in terms of the large youthful audience it attracts and through its efforts to develop and promote young talent.

 

AKA 5JO

AKA 5JO by Lee Kyeong-won – Korea | 2019 – 15 minutes

Section: Korean Short Film Competition | World Premiere
A has-been rap star and his old fan accidentally ride the Ferris Wheel together in an amusement park. The short story AKA 5JO is from the Omnibus feature, Different People with the Same Name Project Season 3. (Kang Sowon)

Hyun-soo disappeared, and while dealing with Hyun-soo’s tutee Jaewoo and Jae-woo’s mom who are rude all the time, and the unwelcome guest, Min-ok, Hyun-soo′s mother for a few days, Hanna feels some disturbance in her heart.
