The Cinema Rehiyon (Philippines) is accepting films until December 15th, 2021. *Only for Filipino filmmakers*
About the festival:
Cinema Rehiyon, the flagship project of the NCCA – National Committee on Cinema, aims to promote films that tell stories rooted in the culture of the regions. Going online for the second year on the National Committee on Cinema’s Vimeo on Demand platform, the festival will provide an opportunity for regional filmmakers — first-timers, veterans, amateurs, professionals — to build networks and exhibit their films to a wider audience. The film festival next year will also conduct limited capacity community screenings in coordination with LGUs in select cities and municipalities around the Philippines.
Cinema Rehiyon will follow the overall theme of the National Arts Month, with the regular program showcasing the Best Films from the Regions and a special program on Films with Social Commentary. The project aims to present the best of more recent regional films coming from Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao, and NCR; online talkbacks and forums dealing with the same concerns.
