Battery Daddy by Jeon Seungbae – Korea | 2021 – 6 minutes
Section: International Competition 2

Battery Dad, who works on children’s toys, door locks, and remote controls, one day goes on a trip to the valley with Dong-gu’s family. Sudden heavy rain begins to fall while having a good time in the valley (BIAF 2021).

Cocoon by Yeo Eun A – Korea | 2015 – 12 minutes

Mina lives with her sick mother in an old apartment building. Mina’s mother suffers from a disease that turned her into a monster in a cocoon. Mina tries hard to take care of her mother, but her mother’s condition worsens and is on the brink of death (BIAF 2021).

Crack by Ahn Yonghae – Korea | 2014 – 7 minutes

Ji-soo, a counselor at the suicide hotline, receives a consultation call. Just when she senses the urgency of the situation and tries to alert the police, the caller reveals her identity (BIAF 2021).

Girl in the Water by Huang Shirou – Taiwan | 2021 – 7 minutes
Section: International Competition

Gazing at wall cancer and the scar, the woman recalls some ups and downs of love. Girl in the Water is a hand-drawn animation, which is based on my personal experiences, painted in watercolor and pastel frame by frame. The film depicts femininity and female internal time-consciousness through the convalescence of woman’s broken heart (BIAF 2021).

Invisible Eyes by Jung Seunghee – Korea | 2021 – 8 minutes
Section: International Competition

Three children, who are playing shooting on a chestnut farm where the flag of all nations flutters, go into the deep forest after squirrels for a bounty. After a long chase, the children run into a squirrel, but they cannot shoot because of its eye. Instead, the children harming the new target, feel glaring eyes from all over the mysterious forest and suffer from strange guilt and nightmares (BIAF 2021).

Inspired by the passing of Erick’s grandfather, Namoo follows the meaningful moments of one man’s life from beginning to end and marks Oh’s most ambitious and personal work to date (BIAF 2021).

It is a story about a girl who can’t communicate with others. Instead, she turns into an object. A forgotten memory of the past suddenly comes up. When she was little, she once met a friend who recognizes her when she turns into an object (BIAF 2021).
