
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival (France) is accepting feature films until June 12, 2026.
About the festival:
Launched in 2012, the Bordeaux International Independent Film Festival celebrates global independent cinema and reflects a spirit of independence, creative freedom, and innovation. During previous editions, the festival has hosted prestigious directors and artists including James Gray, Alejandro Jodorowsky, Céline Sciamma, Alice Diop, Arnaud Desplechin, Ryusuke Hamaguchi, Julia Ducournau, Abel Ferrara, Virginie Despentes and Yorgos Lanthimos, among others.
* Note: We will only display information for the International Competition where Asian filmmakers can apply*
Eligibility (International Films):
– The festival accepts feature films (over 60 minutes).
– The festival only accepts films from 2026.
– The festival favor films which have rarely been shown in France and requires to be Nouvelle-Aquitaine premiere.
– Films should not have been distributed in France or online before the festival dates.
– Films whose language is not French or English must be submitted with English or French subtitles.
– Submission Fee: Feature Films – $ 25 Euros
– Deadline: June 12, 2026
