I am enquiring into te whanau marama submissions for next year but do our short films have to premiere at NZIFF? Or is their other ways of having a film screened at other festivals before hand? I only ask because I heard that the whanau marama category doesnt necessarily have to have an NZ premiere at the NZIFF or if it is premiered elsewhere before NZIFF does it have to be re-edited?
I look forward to hearing from you.
Nga mihi
Fred

If you are applying for next year films must not have screened publicly in New Zealand prior to NZIFF. You can Premiere and screen it in other festival outiside NZ but not in the country. Hope this answer your question.
