
The DMZ Industry Program is accepting projects in all stages of production from pre-production to post-production. The deadline for Production Pitch and Rough-Cut presentation is April 8th, 2022.
DMZ Industry Categories:
– DMZ Docs Fund that supports documentary projects in development stage with its cash grants. (Information will be announced in late April, 2022)
– DMZ Docs Pitch which provides business and networking opportunities to documentary projects in production or rough-cut phase.
DMZ Docs Pitch
* PRODUCTION PITCH
Number of projects selected: 16 Korean and Asian Projects
Eligible for projects with 30-70 % in production. Korean/Asian or international co-production projects with over 30% of Asian reginal finance.
Support & Benefits: Cash grant to support pitching preparation (2,000,000 KRW per project – 1,640 USD); official invitation to the DMZ Docs Lab 2022; DMZ Industry 2022 with pitching opportunity; DMZ Docs Match 2022 (business meeting) service, and automatic consideration for the DMZ Industry Awards 2022 (cash grant or in-kind support).
* ROUGH CUT PRESENTATION
Number of projects selected: 8 Korean and Asian projects
Eligible for post-production or in the final stage of completion. And for projects that have never been released or broadcast (expect for film festivals).
Support & Benefits: Cash grant to support pitching preparation (2,000,000 KRW per project – 1,640 USD); official invitation to the DMZ Industry 2022 with pitching opportunity; DMZ Docs Match 2022 (business meeting) service, and automatic consideration for the DMZ Industry Awards 2022 (cash grant or in-kind support).
* Due to COVID-19 pandemic, DMZ Docs Lab and DMZ Industry 2022 may happen online.
Eligibility:
– Feature-length documentary projects (60 min. or longer) with aims of theatrical release or TV broadcast
– Documentary projects created by directors/producers of Korean or Asian nationality
*Production Pitch: Korean/Asian documentary projects in 30-70% stage of production, or international co-production projects with over 30% of Asian regional finance.
*Rough Cut Presentation: Korean/Asian documentary projects in post-production or finished stage, Projects that can submit 30 min-long excerpts of rough cut, and Projects that have never been released or broadcast (except for at film festivals).
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: April 8th, 2022 (GMT+9/KST)
– Notification Date: June 2022
