Pelikultura: The Calabarzon Film Festival

We start this list with The Pelikultura: The Calabarzon Film Festival that will take place at the University of the Philippines Los Baños (Laguna). The opening film will be The Crescent Rising by Sheron Dayoc and the closing film Turumba by Kidlat Tahimik. There will be a Regional Cinema Forum with Prof. Patrick Campos on February 19th at 1 PM (Redrec Auditorium, UPLB). Amoong the films presented we can recommend Santa Nena! By Tim Rane Villanueva, Ma? By Ralph Quincena & Patricia Ramirez and Si Astri Maka Si Tambulah by Xeph Suarez.

Pink Shorts Manila
February 24th – 25th, 2018

After that we have the Pink Shorts Manila will take place at the Teatrillo Intramuros (Intramuros, Manila). Aside from the film screening there will be talks and live performances. Among the films presented we can recommend Ma? By Ralph Quincena & Patricia Ramirez, Transparent by Adel Clemente and Sorry for the Inconvenience by Carl Chavez.

Cinema Rehiyon Film Festival
February 25th – 28th, 2018

Finally we have the Cinema Rehiyon Film Festival that will take place from February 25th – 28th, in three different venues. On February 26th at the Natividad Fajardo-Rosario Gonzales Auditorium Bro. Andrew Gonzales Hall, De La Salle University (Malate, Metro Manila), February 27th at the Mini Auditorium, Far Eastern University (Sampaloc, Manila) and on February 28th at the Mini Theater, University of Makati (Makati, Metro Manila). Apart from film screening there will be Panel Discussions. We recommend Si Astri Maka Si Tambulah by Xeph Suarez and Redempsyon by Edmund Telmo.
