Created two edition ago by the festival and the Japan Foundation Asian Center, this section showcase Asian films with a focus on particular countries, directors, actors or themes. This year the section will focus on Indonesian productions.

The section will showcase numerous productions from young filmmakers who richly portray themes relevant to modern society, such as religion, ethnicity, gender and various forms of love. Also during the festival there will be opportunities for the public to meet the directors in different Q&A sessions and symposiums. We will keep you updated for the incoming program.

We would also like to remind readers that the Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) will be held from October 25th – November 3rd, 2016 in the beautiful city of Tokyo.
