68th ZINEBI International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao – Call for Entry 2026

Dear Asian filmmakers, the ZINEBI International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao (Spain) is accepting short films until July 1, 2026.

About the festival:
The International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao – ZINEBI is an international cinema event of a competitive nature recognized by FIAPF, the International Federation of Film Producers Associations, and organized according to FIAPF regulations and the regulations of the Festival. The Festival presents competitions (International Short Films, and International First Feature Films -ZIFF-) and curated programmes.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short films of all kinds of genres (fiction, animation and documentaries).
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2025.
– Films must be under 30 minutes in length.
– All short films with spoken languages other than English must be submitted with English subtitles.
– Short films with subtitles for deaf people or those with hearing difficulties and audio descriptions for people with impaired vision will be positively appraised.
– Films already screened at the festival or films previously rejected cannot be entered
– Submission must be made via FilmFreeway.
Submission Fee: $ 15 USD | Nations with a GNI per capita of $1,135 or less will not be charged with submission fee.
Deadline: July 1, 2026
