
Dear Asian filmmakers, the FIDOCS Santiago International Documentary Festival (Chile) is accepting feature documentaries until July 3, 2026.
About the festival:
FIDOCS, the Santiago International Documentary Film Festival, is the leading forum for documentary filmmaking, dissemination, and competition in Chile and Latin America. Its objective is to promote dialogue, reflection, and audience development around the constantly evolving documentary film industry. The festival explores the diverse paths of documentary filmmaking and the emerging trends of nonfiction, presenting works by established and emerging filmmakers where the question of “reality” is addressed in multiple dimensions, stretching genres and disciplinary boundaries.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts documentaries over 40 minutes.
– Documentaries must have been completed between July 2025 and July 2026.
– The festival will prioritize World Premieres and Latin American Premieres.
– International films must be Chile Premiere.
– All films submitted to FIDOCS must be spoken, narrated, or subtitled in Spanish. If the original language of the film is not English, it must also include English subtitles.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
