8 Short Films you shouldn’t miss at the 26th Taipei Film Festival

These are our eight recommended films from the Taipei Film Festival which will take place from June 21 until July 6, 2024 in Taipei, Taiwan.

A Long Walk by Tsai Chi-min – Taiwan | 2024 – 23 minutes | World Premiere

Reclaim My Summer by Chen Hao-wei – Taiwan | 2023 – 29 minutes

Everyone and everything deserves a second chance. Seventeen-year-old Xuan grew up in a recycling yard. The only opportunity she gets to hang out with her friends is when she goes out collecting recyclables from neighbors… (TaiwanFF 2024)

In June, a graduation month, college graduate Ting experiences a sudden separation from her close cousin Jane. During a series of rituals, Ting tries to defend Jane’s choice against their family and seeks an answer to Jane’s suicide and their lives. (TaiwanFF 2024)

Bullied at school and weighed down at home by his dad’s drinking, Yukan is eager to escape it all. When his best friend, Watan, invites him on a hike, a physically and emotionally bruised Yukan grabs his machete and the two boys head into the woods. (TaiwanFF 2024)
