32nd Hamptons International Film Festival – Call for Entry 2024

Dear Asian filmmakers, the Hamptons International Film Festival (United States) is accepting films until May 16, 2024.

About the festival:
The Hamptons International Film Festival was founded to celebrate Independent film – long, short, fiction and documentary – and to introduce a unique and varied spectrum of international films and filmmakers to our audiences. The Festival is committed to exhibiting films that express fresh voices and differing global perspectives, with the hope that these programs enlighten audiences, provide invaluable exposure for filmmakers and present inspired entertainment for all.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts feature films (over 40 minutes) and short films (under 40 minutes) both fiction and documentary.
– The festival gives preference to emerging filmmakers, and films with New York Premiere.
– Films must have been completed on or after January 1, 2023.
– Submitted films may not have been released theatrically or shown on television in the U.S. prior to the festival, and it is strongly preferred that films are not made available online (outside of virtual film festivals) prior to the festival.
– The festival prefers films to not have screened on Long Island prior to the festival’s dates.
– Previously submitted films are ineligible for consideration.
– The festival presents all films in their original language. Non-English language submissions must be accompanied by English subtitles.
–  All submissions must be free from any legal disputes and the filmmaker must have cleared all rights for music and exhibition.
– Films must be submitted via FilmFreeway.
