Miss Shampoo directed by Giddens Ko will open the HK Cine Fan – Summer International Film Festival which will take place from August 15 – 30, 2023 in Hong Kong. The festival is presented by the Hong Kong International Film Festival Society.

It all starts on a stormy night, when a fledging hairdresser inadvertently saves the life of a gang boss. Smitten by her kindness and to ensure her success, he brings all his underlings’ heads under her care, all the while he is entangled in a deadly pursuit of his hitman. Returning with another gangster romantic comedy adapted from his own short story, Giddens Ko puts on show his patented raunchy stylings, boasting a whimsical love story with mob intrigue and boisterous adventure. The captivating performances from his star-studded cast empower Ko to hit a home run with this madcap revelry. (SummerIFF 2023)
