
Four short films will open the Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival which will take place from August 4 – 6, 2023 at the Jeongdong Elementary School. Jeongdongjin, Korea.

About the Festival:
Jeongdongjin Independent Film Festival (JIFF) is a summer festival with a celebration of independent films which takes place on the first week of August at Jeongdong Elementary school, co-hosted by Gangenung Cinematheque and Korean Film Archive. In 1999, planned with The Association of Korean Independent Film&Video, JIFF was created with qualities of alternative, independency, and romance, and is holding a screening of independent films with an inclusive atmosphere that actively interact with every audience. Also, JIFF holds audience-friendly programs such as the opening ceremony with the entire audiences, conversations with the directors and actors, and the special audience-award which the audience get to vote for their favorite films with their pocket coins, called ‘Cling-Clang Coin Awards’.
