59th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival – Asian Presence 2022

These are the Asian films that will be screened at the Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival which will take place from October 1 – 8, 2022 in Antalya, Turkey.

Broker by Kore-eda Hirokazu – South Korea | 2022 – 129 minutes

Sang-hyeon and his friend Dong-soo run an illegal business together: they steal babies from the church’s baby box and sell the babies on the adoption black market. One night, a baby is left at the baby box facility and they secretly take it home but the young mother unexpectedly returns, and discovers the baby thiefs. This group of people, brought together by a baby box, set off on a journey that will lead to unexpected destinations, with police on their trail. (Antalya 2022)


Decision to Leave by Park Chan-wook – South Korea | 2022 – 138 minutes

A man who was climbing a mountain is found dead. When Detective Hae-jun arrives on the scene, he begins to suspect the dead man’s wife, Seo-rae. As he crosses the professional line to learn more about Seo-rae, he starts to make mistakes and finds himself trapped in a web of deception and desire. (Antalya 2022)


Plan 75 by Chie Hayakawa – Japan, France, Philippines, Qatar | 2022 – 112 minutes

In a near-future Japan, the government’s Plan 75 program encourages senior citizens to be voluntarily euthanized to address the country’s demographic crisis. 78-year-old Michi, a youthful Plan 75 salesman and a Filipino care worker get involved in the program in different ways. (Antalya 2022)
