The Mindanao Film Festival (Philippines) is accepting films until October 7, 2022.

About the festival:
The Mindanao Film Festival is organized by the Mindanao Film & Television Development Foundation Inc. This festival is one of the oldest regional festivals in the Philippines. The festival takes place in December and accepts films made by Mindanao filmmakers, films shot or related to Mindanao. The main objectives of the Mindanao Film Festival is to support the filmmakers of Mindanao by promoting and showcasing the wonderful and fascinating stories their films have to tell, and introducing their films to new and greater audiences. It is also supported by the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP), National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) and the Davao Autism Intervention Center, Inc.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short and feature films.
– The festival accepts all kind of genres.
– Student films are welcome but they must include proof of student status at the time of production.
– Films must have been completed within October 2021 to October 2022.
– Only films made by a Mindanaoan filmmaker, shot in Mindanao, or has topic or themes related to Mindanao will be eligible for competition. Other films will be selected for exhibition only.
– Selected entries are required to have its own Facebook page for its own promotional purposes.
– Entries must contain English subtitles “burned” in the film.
– Final copies of entries are required to be encoded in H.264 codec with the .mp4 file extension.
– Films that use unlicensed copyright material will not be accepted.
– Entries previously submitted to the Mindanao Film Festival are NOT eligible.
– Entries must be finished and final. Work in progress are not eligible.
– Multiple entries may be submitted.
– All applicants will be notified by email ONLY as to whether their entries have been selected or not.
