Anxious Body by Yoriko Mizushiri was awarded with the Best Animated Short Film Award at the International Competition at the FilmFest Dresden International Short Film Festival (Germany) which took place from April 5 – 10, 2022.

Living things, artificial things, geometry shapes and lines. When these different things encounter each other, a new direction is born.

Jury Statement:
This film tickles the viewer by exploring the textures and forms, as well as the multifaceted sensuality of the human body. Through an intimate and ambiguous exploration, it demonstrates how close pleasure and pain could be. Tactile, dreamlike and contemplative. The film stages the author’s distinctive artistic style in terms of the visual aesthetics and sound design.
