
The Bali Film Festival (aka Balinale) is accepting films until March 20th, 2022.
About the festival:
Bali Film Festival – locally known as Balinale – was established in 2007 and is recognized internationally for its varied programming of global independent and Indonesian cinema. The festival is known for its importance in promoting the creative industries of Indonesia by showcasing films locally produced as a means of illustrating the country’s capabilities for investment and international co-production opportunities.
The festival is strongly supported by the local community and has a commitment to supporting educational development through workshops and seminars. BFF is endorsed by the National and Provincial Government for its proven efforts in delivering cultural, civic, and economic benefits to the country working with government and industry to make Indonesia the most creatively exciting and prosperous place to make film internationally.
The Bali Film Forum focuses on industry-wide topics and further developing the Indonesian creative industries by building a more effective and meaningful dialogue between them and their international counterparts. BFF actively participates in global industry events, associations with major studios and distributors, and established affiliations with likeminded institutions and organizations.
General Rules:
– The festival accepts films from all genres of fiction and documentary, feature films (above 45 minutes) and short films (under 45 minutes).
– Films must have been completed within ONE YEAR of the festival, and not already have had significant commercial or broadcast exposure. Films shown at other festivals or in limited non-commercial exhibitions are eligible.
– Non-English language films must be either subtitled or dubbed in English.
– Films must be provided in DCP format.
– The festival gives Awards.
