The Sydney Film Festival is accepting films for the 2018 edition. Here you can find more information about their Call for Entry.
The 65th Sydney Film Festival will take place 6 to 17 June 2018. Since its inception in 1954, the Sydney Film Festival (SFF), recognised by the Federation Internationale des Associations de Producteurs de Films (FIAPF), has increased in size and reputation to become the leading international film festival in Australia. The SFF program celebrates the best of the world’s cinema and includes features, documentaries, short films, retrospectives and a series of industry and public talks. In 2008, the SFF established an Official Competition (entry by invitation only), the Sydney Film Prize, with a cash prize of $AUD 60,000 to reward new directions in film: that is, feature fiction films which have emotional power and resonance, are audacious cutting edge and courageous, and go beyond the usual treatment of a subject matter. We also host a competition for Australian documentaries and short films (see separate submission categories for details). In 2017, over 280 productions from 50 countries were selected for exhibition and the festival attracted over 183,000 attendances.
