The Melbourne Documentary Film Festival is accepting documentaries for the next edition. Here you can find more information about their Call for Entry.

The Melbourne Documentary Film Festival (MDFF) each year curates world class features direct from some of the hottest most prestigious documentary film festivals in the world like Sheffield Doc Fest, Traverse City Film Festival Doc NYC, SXSW, Doc Edge and IDFA. But what matters to us most is documentaries that are well-made, compelling, thought provoking, passionate and relevant to Australian audiences.

The festival wants to highlight and promote all documentaries but in particular those done by women filmmakers, with aboriginal and indigenous documentaries, Asian cinema or LGBTQ theme docs.

The Melbourne Doc Fest is one of the world newest documentary film festivals and one of the most fun and interesting stop overs on the international documentary film festival circuit.

General Rules:
– Documentaries must be completed after July 12th, 2017.
– Documentaries released on DVD, freely available online or theatrically released other than on http://www.tugg.com are not eligible.
– Documentaries can be submitted via Withoutabox, FilmFreeway, Reelport, FestHome , FilmFestivalLife or Click For Festivals.
