Five Filipino films have been selected for the 45th Hong Kong International Film Festival which will go hybrid with both-in-theatre and online screenings from April 1st – 12th, 2021.
Where the Wind Blows (TBC) by Philip Yung and Septet – The Story of Hong Kong by Sammo Hung, Ann Hui, Patrick Tam, Yuen Wo-ping, Johnnie To, Ringo Lam and Tsui Hark, will open the 45th Hong Kong International Film Festival which will go hybrid with both-in-theatre and online screenings from April 1st – 12th, 2021.
This year the Hong Kong International Film Festival (HKIFF) will screen eight restored classics. The program features rarely-seen silent films, a long-lost censored Iranian movie, among others.
The festival announced that the Filmmaker-in-Focus for this year will be Stanley Kwan.
