In a bid to expand the market for Children’s film and encourage talent in the country, Children’s Film Society India (CFSI) had announced the launch of a three day National Children’s Film Festival (NCFF) for the first time ever in 2014. This is the 2nd edition of NCFF. CFSI has announced the central theme of the festival as ‘Make in India’. National Children’s Film Festival (NCFF), the event will focus on Children’s films which are either made or shot in India or the makers are Indian. The festival is a three day event, which will kick-start in Jaipur at Birla Auditorium from 14th November, Children’s Day and conclude on 16th November 2016. NCFF is now organized by CFSI every alternate year. The festival will screen a score of unreleased films with CFSI’s production and latest offering, Gauru leading the pack. Other fresh content that will be put up in the festival are ‘Budhia Singh – Born to Run’ which will be premiered in NCFF. Happy Mother’s Day, Kima’s Lode, Harun Arun, Ek Tha Bhujang are yet another CFSI production, Half Ticket, Pasanga 2, Bravo Biju, Dad, I am Watching You are few curated movies amongst others. The films are carefully handpicked to create an opportunity for children to experience qualitative content made exclusively for them. Some of these films have won several awards, globally. In Jaipur, the festival will take place at Birla Auditorium. NCFF has garnered eyeballs from the country’s celebrated Bollywood personalities such as Anil Kapoor, Irfan Khan, Ila Arun, Darsheel Safary, Piyush Pandey, who have pulled out time from their busy schedule to be a part of NCFF opening ceremony. Also prominent celebrities like Ms. Tisca Chopra and Mr. Faisal Khan are hosting the festival. Terence Dance Troupe will participate in cultural programmes and there will be three workshops.
