
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Seoul Metro International Subway Film Festival (Korea) is accepting short films until August 12, 2026.
About the festival:
Established in 2010, Seoul Metro International subway Film Festival(SMIFF) selects films that will be screened at metro stations, on screens of subways and official online theater. The most attractive thing to submit your film to SMIFF is that once selected, Korean citizens can watch and resonate with your film while living their daily lives.
Eligibility:
– There is no limit on the year of production.
– Accepts any subject or genres.
– Running time should be less than 210 seconds.
– Film should be suitable for public showing.
– Films could be understood without sound and dialogues as it would be screened in subways. (Sound will be use in online and theater screening)
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– Preview film has to offer English subtitles if the dialogue is not in English.
– Preview film must be the same version as the screening file to be screened at the festival.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: August 12, 2026
– Notification Date: September 1, 2026
