
The SKIP CITY KINETEC International Film Festival (Japan) is accepting films until August 31, 2026.
About the festival:
The SKIP CITY INTERNATIONAL D-Cinema FESTIVAL is a premier launching pad for the next generation of global filmmakers. Shifting its core focus to “Cutting-Edge Visual Technology” the festival seeks ambitious film works that advance visual expression through technology, requiring applicants to specify the concrete techniques used.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short films under 60 minutes and feature films over 60 minutes. The NEXT Category has no runtime restrictions.
– Films must have been completed on or after July 1, 2025.
– The festival doesn’t accept work-in-progress.
– Re-submissions of works produced prior to June 30, 2025, that have only been partially re-edited will not be accepted.
– If you wish to submit two or more works simultaneously, you must submit a separate entry form for each work, clearly stating the title and director’s name, and provide the respective screener materials.
– Submission Fees: FREE
– Deadline: August 31, 2026
– Notification Date: End of December 2026
