
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Hof International Film Festival (Germany) is accepting films until July 31, 2026.
About the festival:
The Hof International Film Festival has become well-established as a platform for young German directors and is widely regarded as important arena for discovering new talents, second only to Berlin. Of equal importance, however, are the independent movies from all over the world that make up roughly half the program consisting of 130 odd feature films, documentaries and shorts.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts both short and feature films.
– Films up to 49 minutes will be categorized as short films.
– Films must be German Premiere. This means that the film may not be screened in public in Germany before the festival.
– Films must be available in DCP format for the festival.
– Films must have English subtitles.
– Submissions must be made via FilmChief.
– Submission Fees:
* Feature Films – $ 10 Euros
* Short Films – $ 5 Euros
– Deadline: July 31, 2026
