Dear Asian filmmakers, the Cosquín International Independent Film Festival (Argentina) is accepting films until February 1, 2026.

About the festival:
The purpose of the Festival is to become a new way to promote independent films bringing together Cosquin spectators and other spectators from its surrounding new proposals regarding film and audiovisual language.

The opportunity to open up new spaces and projection screens in the entire country is a way to circulate films, short films and other audiovisual material making them available to spectators that, otherwise, would not have access to such material. The creation of this new projection screen, which is the First Cosquin International Film Festival, seeks to take to the region new points of view that year after year are generated in different parts of Argentina and the world.

Furthermore, FICIC aims to make accessible audiovisual productions done in Cosquín and other regions in Argentina. Apart from counting with a promotion platform, these new films can connect spectators making them become a part of the experience.

Competitions:
– Feature Film Competition: Open to national and international fiction films with a length above 60 minutes.
– Feature Documentary Competition: Open to national and international documentary films with a length above 60 minutes.
– Short Film Competition: Open to national and international films of all genres with a length below 30 minutes.

Eligibility:
– The festival is open to international films both short (below 30 minutes) and feature films (above 60 minutes).
– The festival accepts all kind of genres (narrative, documentary, experimental, and animations).
– Films must have been produced between 2023 – 2026.
– Films that already participated in past editions are illegible.
– Films must contain English subtitles.
– Submission must be done via MOVIBETA.
– Submission Fee: $ 15 Euros for International films (the submission platform may charge you other fees)
– Deadline: February 1, 2026
