The Taichung International Animation Festival (Taiwan) is accepting animated films until June 30, 2025.

About the festival:
The Taichung International Animation Festival (TIAF), organized by the Taichung Film Development Foundation (TFDF) with the support of the Information Bureau of the Taichung City Government, is Taiwan’s only city-based animation film festival. Founded in 2015, TIAF has quickly become a prominent international animation event, attracting both local and international animators and film enthusiasts alike.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts animated short films (under 25 minutes) and animated feature films (over 60 minutes).
– Short Films must have been completed after January 1, 2024 and no other version of the work can be entered previously.
– Feature Films must have been completed after January 1, 2023 and no other version of the work can be entered previously.
– In order to submit a “Taiwanese Short Films” or “Taiwanese Student Short Films”, the director must be a national of Taiwan with a valid ID, or more than half of the production costs must be from Taiwan, or more than half of the production staff must be Taiwan (R.O.C.) nationals with a valid ID national.
– All films with linguistic dialogue or narration, except those without dialogue, should have English subtitles; films with Chinese dialogue or narration should be accompanied by English and Chinese subtitles and should be provided with time-coded text of the dialogue or relevant narration in SRT, DOC, DOCX or TXT format.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: June 30, 2025
– Notification Date: August 8, 2025
