
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Animasyros International Animation Festival (Greece) is accepting animated films until June 1, 2025.
About the festival:
ANIMASYROS International Animation Festival is the largest festival and animation market of its kind in Greece and one of the 20 most significant worldwide. Founded in 2008, it takes place annually on the island of Syros, the capital of the Cyclades, in the neoclassical town of Hermoupolis and various other locations across the island.
The festival features a rich program, including screenings in competitve sections, special tributes and curatorial screening events, as well as media literacy workshops for children, young people, adults, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities. It also hosts parties and numerous parallel events.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts animated films from all over the world.
– First public screening of submitted films must have occurred strictly AFTER 1st of January 2023.
– The festival accepts short films (under 45 minutes) and feature films (over 45 minutes).
– For screening the festival prefers digital files than DCPs or Optical Discs.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: June 1, 2025
– Notification Date: August 20, 2025
