
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Adelaide Film Festival (Australia) is accepting films until May 26, 2025.
About the festival:
Adelaide Film Festival (AFF) is South Australia’s premier screen event and one of Australia’s leading film festivals. It’s a celebration of courageous cinema where filmmakers and audiences come together for two weeks of local and international film premieres, art, talks and parties in October and November.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts shorts (under 40 minutes), feature films (over 40 minutes), and episodic content.
– The festival accepts films of all genres (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.).
– Films must have been completed in the past 12 months with completion date after 3rd of November 2024.
– Films and series must not have been (or will not be) broadcast on television or a streaming platform or publicly screened, distributed or exhibited (for a targeted cinema release) in a physical location within the state of South Australia, Australia, prior to 26 October 2025.
– Films must not have been (or will not be) available commercially online and accessible in Australia, either for free or via on-demand services prior to 26 October 2025 including at other Australian film festivals’ online platforms.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
