Eleven-year old Mahito loses his mother in a fire. When his father marries his mother’s younger sister Nahuto, Mahito has a hard time accepting it. It turns out that parallel to their normal world there is an alternative dimension in which anything can happen and the dead and the alive live side by side. (BUFF 2024)

Battery Mommy by Seung-bae Jeon – Korea | 2023 – 9 minutes

Battery Mommy has many jobs at the school. She works as a bubble blower, eclectic whisk machinist and heat technician. One day there is a fire in the Christmas tree. Battery Mommy comes to the rescue! (BUFF 2024)

Hana, a deaf child, has an exceptional artistic talent but is struggling with an overwhelming internal soundscape. Hana’s story originates from a collection of deaf people’s childhood stories. (BUFF 2024)

Fang must choose. Most of all, she’d like to continue playing basketball. But to do that she needs the grades required for college. Stuck in limbo between tradition and dreams, Fang glances at the space rockets passing in the sky. (BUFF 2024)

Xiaohui lives with his grandfather on a farm in the mountains. His grandfather decides to sell their calf to get money for a kitchen renovation. Xiaohui does everything in his might to keep his friend. (BUFF 2024)
