Dear Asian filmmakers, the FEST – New Directors/New Films Festival (Portugal) is accepting films until March 4, 2024.

About the festival:
FEST – New Directors | New Films Festival is an all-encompassing celebration of the new tendencies of world cinema. The event focuses on a competitive and non-competitive showcase of the most promising new figures and works from around the globe.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts fiction and non-fiction feature films (above 55 minutes) from directors who are on their first or second feature-length project, regardless of age.
– The festival accepts fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental short films (up to 54 minutes of duration) from directors who have completed no more than two feature films, regardless of age.
– The films must have been completed after the 1st of January 2023 and they must not have been screened in previous editions of this Festival.
– It is permitted for the applicant to submit more than one film (in separate entries).
– Films can be submitted via the official website, FilmFreeway, Click for Festivals, or Festhome.
