A Long Alone by Yeo Euna – Korea | 2023 – 8 minutes
The record of discontinued time and place, from dying alone to discovery. One year period after a person’s solitary death is shown in time-lapse. (BIAF 2023)

Battery Mommy by Jeon Seungbae – Korea | 2023 – 9 minutes
Battery Mommy works at various things in the nursery. One winter day, during the children`s nap time, she finds out the Christmas tree in the nursery is on fire and runs to save the children. (BIAF 2023)

Compound Eyes of Tropical by Zhang Xuzhan – Taiwan | 2022 – 17 minutes | Korean Premiere
The film uses the perspective of a fly to create a montage film language using the metaphor of the compound eye. It portrays the Southeast Asian folktale ‘The Mousedeer Crossing the River’ through multiple perspectives, reinterpreting the story’s multiple facets across cultures. (BIAF 2023)

Bungeoppang, a fish-shaped bread living in a food cart, yearning to swim in the water, ventures across the street to a neighboring sushi restaurant`s fish tank. (BIAF 2023)

Devil by PARK Hyemin – Korea | 2022 – 35 minutes
On the day his second child is being born, Lord Choi falls from his horse. On the brink of death, he prays to a goblin and his life is spared. In exchange, the goblin declares that it will take Lord Choi’s daughter away on the day she turns sixteen, but Lord Choi will not give up his precious daughter so easily. (BIAF 2023)

Goodbye, Woojoo by Jeon Dahyun – Korea | 2023 – 6 minutes | World Premiere
On a cold winter morning, Myeongkyung gets on a train with Woojoo and brings back her memories for a moment. (BIAF 2023)

Hard to Say by AHN Yonghae – Korea | 2023 – 25 minutes | World Premiere
Minji took care of Jihyun who was being ostracized in class. Jihyun commits suicide while they were spending less time with each other. Missing Jihyun and suffering from guilt, Minji opens her mouth to Jihyun and her mother. (BIAF 2023)

How To Get Your Man Pregnant by NOH Gyeongmu – Korea | 2023 – 30 minutes
This film is set in South Korea in the year 2030. Jeonghwan Choi and Yujin Kang have been married for ten years. Yujin is worn out after failing to conceive through IVF treatment. The genius medical doctor, Dr. Samsin Kim, has been researching male pregnancy technology, which is now available publicly. Yujin convinces Jeonghwan to visit Dr. Samsin Kim and he is sucked into the male pregnancy project. (BIAF 2023)

Nezumikozo Jirokichi by Rintaro – Japan, France | 2023 – 24 minutes | Korean Premiere
As the city of Edo is plunged into darkness, a man emerges from the attic of a house. It’s the famous Jirokichi, nicknamed Nezumikozo/the Rat, a virtuous bandit who steals from the rich to distribute to the poor. (BIAF 2023)

Pado (The Waves) by Joung Yumi – Korea | 2023 – 9 minutes | Asian Premiere
The story begins with an empty beach where no one can be found. The waves repeatedly drifted into the shore. Then five individuals appear, and each of them shares their own stories along with the rhythm of the waves. And each of them leaves the beach until the waves are all that remain. (BIAF 2023)

Reflected by KIM Sion, PARK Sojung, JUNG Chaewon – Korea | 2023 – 8 minutes
Dain, who is stressed from her obsession with grades, suffers from Alice in Wonderland syndrome. On the way home from a grueling exam at school, she looks in the mirror and sees a distorted reflection that starts haunting her wherever she goes. (BIAF 2023)

Spotlight by NAM Suhyun, CHOI Dagyo, KIM Gahee – Korea | 2023 – 5 minutes
It`s time for a singing evaluation. With everyone`s eyes on her, a girl with stage fright begins singing. Too nervous, she makes mistakes and the class laughs at her. Suddenly the music begins, sucking her into the virtual world. (BIAF 2023)

The Scenes Left Behind by YI Seungeon – Korea, USA | 2023 – 13 minutes | World Premiere

In a future where androids fill in for human jobs, a role-playing android J-204 experiences a mysterious error which signals a possible defect. During this time, J-204 encounters a human who is keen about its peculiar error. (BIAF 2023)
