Àma Gloria directed by Marie Amachoukeli will open the Seoul International Children’s Film Festival which will take place from September 13 – 20, 2023 in Seoul, Korea.

Six-year-old Cléo loves her nanny Gloria more than anything. When Gloria receives a call and must urgently return to her home in Cape Verde to care for her own children, Cleo makes her promise to meet one last time. Gloria accepts and invites Cleo to spend the summer vacation on her island. A last summer that they will spend together before inevitably saying goodbye.​ (SICFF 2023)

About the director:
Marie AMACHOUKELI attended the La Fémis film school in the screenwriting department. She co-directed the short films FORBAC and IT’S FREE FOR GIRLS  together with Claire Burger. Her first feature film, PARTY GIRL, co-directed with Claire Burger and Samuel Theis, won at Cannes in 2014.
