Nest by Park Chang-hwan – Korea | 2023 – 15 minutes | World Premiere

North Korean girl Seolhee crosses the border alone despite the risks in order to find her mother in South Korea. (BIFAN 2023)

Hanho’s aunt continuously tells hanho that death of his father is caused by his brother’s evil spirit. He is persuaded aunt’s thought and believes that his unfortunateness is due to brother. On the day he screws up his competition, he decided to abandon brother in night. (BIFAN 2023)

Report to the Class by Nam Seo Jeong – Korea | 2023 – 26 minutes | World Premiere

Eunyu, a high school library captain, loses the book in which she kept the donations. Shortly after, Baekji, a member of the library club, returns the book that Eunyu had lost, but the money has disappeared. Coincidentally, Eunyu had witnessed Baekji shoplifting at a supermarket, and Eunyu’s suspicion of Baekji begins to grow. (BIFAN 2023)

Seo Yi-wol, who has lived in a convent, does not want to be a nun. In order to escape from the convent, she decided to escape after receiving a prize in the contest. Then, her met Lee Jung-yeon, who wanted to leave the village like him. Their relationship deepened beyond friends. However, Seo Yi-wol felt inferior to Lee Jung-yeon and ended up fighting with her. Then the next day, she was found to have committed suicide. Can Seo Yi-wol achieve her goal and be happy? (BIFAN 2023)

Obsessed with this incident, Jongho’s life has been spiraling out of control. Jongho finally decides to visit Yeojin’s home to uncover the truth—a truth that seems to lie beyond reason. (BIFAN 2023)

Voice Club by Kim Tae-young – Korea | 2023 – 27 minutes | World Premiere

Dana is a telemarketer and an aspiring voice actor. She joins “Voice Club,” which is an app where you can only communicate with your voice. “Voice Club” users are busy socializing in their own world, and when Dana introduces herself as a telemarketer, strange sneers and pitiful laughs fill the chat room. People are ignoring her voice that she thought was her only strength. Dana eventually feels the need for change, a change dramatic enough that can attract their attention. Dana dyes her hair bright red. She goes all out with her makeup and writes a new profile. (BIFAN 2023)

It’s been 15 years since the youngest, Mirae, went missing. Woori’s family lives without losing hope that they can find Mirae even in difficult circumstances. One day, Woori’s family received a tip about Mirae. On her way there, Woori learns of Mirae’s death insurance. (BIFAN 2023)

You Know, There are Ghosts Under the Tree by Lee Ruri – Korea | 2023 – 14 minutes | World Premiere

It’s a scorching summer. The girl and the boy cannot attend the festivities on the eve of the school festival. Then Kali says to the wandering children: “You know, where the festivities are taking place, as far as the shadow of the sacred tree reaches, young spirits are gathered under it.” (BIFAN 2023)
