Dear Asian filmmakers, the New York Asian Film Festival (USA) is accepting films for the Narrative Shorts Showcase until May 30, 2023.

About the festival:
The NYAFF Shorts Showcase is an initiative launched in 2021 with the goal of uplifting and empowering our Asian communities by foregrounding their diverse voices and providing a space for emerging filmmakers to present their work.

Eligibility:
– Films should represent the lives and experiences of Asian people from Asia* or the Asian diaspora.
– Films produced in any country qualify.
– Films featuring Asian actors or subjects.
– Shorts must be 20 minutes or less in duration.
– Accepts films completed within the past year.
– Short films submitted before are not eligible.
– Films in any language are welcomed but if not in English they must have English subtitles.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: May 30, 2023
– Notification Date: Last week of June 2023
