
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Tasveer Film Festival (USA) is accepting films until July 26, 2026.
About the festival:
The Tasveer Film Festival (TFF) is the world’s only Oscar-qualifying South Asian film festival, based in Seattle, Washington. For two decades, it has been a vital platform for showcasing diverse and compelling South Asian stories, fostering cross-cultural understanding, and inspiring social change.
Eligibility:
– The festival accepts films on themes related to South Asia and its Diaspora. South Asia includes Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Maldives, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Tibet, and its various Diasporas worldwide.
– The festival accepts short films (under 40 minutes) and feature films (over 40 minutes) both fiction and documentaries.
– Seattle premiere is required, some discretion allowed in case of non-premieres.
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2025.
– The festival doesn’t screen films that are already available online.
– Films that are not in English must have English subtitles.
