Dear Asian filmmakers, the Aesthetica Film Festival (UK) is accepting short films until June 7, 2026.

About the festival:
The Aesthetica Short Film Festival is BAFTA and BIFA-Qualifying and takes place in York, UK. It is one of the UK’s largest and most revered film events. The festival love independent film. Their programming and curation are innovative and expansive. They believe that great films are transformative, and creativity should be shared.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts both short (under 30 minutes), and VR Experience projects under 30 minutes.
– The festival accepts all kind of genres (fiction, documentary, animation, and experimental).
– All films in languages other than English must have burnt in subtitles.
– The festival doesn’t require UK Premiere.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– The festival doesn’t grant waivers.
