
The Diaspora Film Festival (Korea) is accepting films until January 23, 2026.
About the festival:
DIAFF is a film festival for films with themes on migration, refugees and separation, in the hopes of representing the voices of those who have lost their homes or were forced to relocate from the cities and towns where they built their lives.

– Diaspora in Focus
– Diaspora Features
– Diaspora Shorts
– Cinema Picnic
– Diaspora’s Eye
Eligibility:
– Films must address “diaspora” issues of “migration, transfer, and separation”. Films about race, nationality, ethnicity, war/conflict, refugee, generation, gender, and sexuality from the diaspora point of view. Films that address stories of those who leave their communities and seek new ones for various reasons including social, political, economic, and cultural matters.
– The festival accepts features and short films.
– The festival accepts all kind of genres (fiction, documentary, animation, experimental, etc.)
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2024.
– Films not in English or containing non-English dialogue must have English subtitles embedded in the final screening copy.
– Submissions must be done via Website.
– There are no premiere requirements. Films screened at other festivals or released theatrically are eligible.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: January 23, 2025 (17:00 KST)
