The Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (USA) is accepting films until January 5, 2026.

About the festival:
Started in 2004 by OCA-Greater Houston, the Houston Asian American Pacific Islander Film Festival (HAAPIFEST) was created to celebrate the AAPI community through edutainment, highlighting AAPI in the entertainment industry and providing a platform for them to share their artistic vision and experiences.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short films (under 40 minutes) and feature films (over 40 minutes).
– Films must be either be directed by, produced by, written by or feature an Asian or Asian American/Pacific Islander and/or the content of the entry must contain material that relates to the Asian or Asian American/Pacific Islander culture/experience.
– The festival accepts films produced within the last three years.
– Films must be English subtitles in their screeners.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
– Submission Fees:
* Feature Films – $ 30 USD
* Short Films – $ 25 USD
– Deadline: January 5, 2025
– Notification Date: February 28, 2026
