Girl directed by Shu Qi opened the Singapore International Film Festival which is taking place from November 26 until December 7, 2025 in Singapore.

About the director:
International star Shu Qi is an actor, writer, and director with over 90 acting credits, including three collaborations with Hou Hsiao-hsien – Millennium Mambo (2001), Three Times (2005) and The Assassin (2015). As an actor, she has won two Golden Horse Awards and three Hong Kong Film Awards, among many other awards. Girl, her debut as a director and writer, premiered in Venice and won her the Best Director Award at Busan.
