Asian American Showcase – Call for Entry 2026

The Asian American Showcase (USA) is accepting films until February 27, 2026.

About the Festival:
The Foundation for Asian American Independent Media (FAAIM) is an organization that celebrates emerging Asian American creative talent. They accomplish this by hosting various events including the annual Asian American Showcase in Chicago, and supporting artists in building a grassroots audience for their work.

Eligibility:
– Films must be made by an Asian American filmmaker and/or about the Asian American experience.
– The festival accepts feature films (over 60 minutes) and short films (under 59 minutes) from any kind of genre (fiction, documentary, experimental, and animation).
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2025. *Note: This is not specified but we recommend sending new films.*
– Films shouldn’t have been released in cinemas or be available on streaming services.
– Films must have English subtitles.
– Submissions must be done via FilmFreeway.
Submission Fees:
* Feature Films – $ 20 USD
* Short Films – $ 10 USD
* Chicago Short Films – $ 5 USD
Deadline: February 27, 2026
Notification Date: March 9, 2026
