17th KASHISH Pride Film Festival – Call for Entry 2026

The KASHISH Pride Film Festival (India) is accepting films until March 16, 2026.

About the festival:
KASHISH is committed to showcasing films by, about, and of interest to the LGBTQIA+ community and we specially encourage film submissions from women; people of color; transgender, intersex, asexual & non-binary people; and other underrepresented communities.

Eligibility:
– The festival welcomes Filmmakers/ Producers/ Distributors across the world to submit features, documentaries, short and animation films that highlight/ focus on LGBTQIA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual) lives and issues. Films that do NOT pertain to LGBTQIA+ theme will be DISQUALIFIED.
– Films must be completed after January 1st, 2025 to be considered for Competition.
– The festival accepts short films (between 5 – 60 minutes), and feature films (over 60 minutes).
– All non-English language films SHOULD have English Subtitles. We prefer English language films too with subtitles or close-captions, for the festival to be more inclusive and accessible to hearing impaired audience members.
– Films submitted for earlier editions of KASHISH MIQFF and not accepted cannot be submitted again. Re-submission of the same or re-edited films will not be approved and will be rejected.
– Films must be at minimum Mumbai Premiere and should not have been release theatrically, streamed on any VOD/OTT platforms, YouTube, or any other platform in India before the festival.
– The festival accepts student short films under 60 minutes.
– Submissions must be made via FilmFreeway.
