
Dear Asian filmmakers, the Buenos Aires International Independent Film Festival – BAFICI (Argentina) is accepting short and feature films until December 18, 2025.
About the festival:
It’s one of the most important film festivals in Latin America. Year after year it offers the best selection of work by national and international film-makers. It has become the platform where innovative and avant-garde cinema is shown, offering the public the opportunity to catch those short and feature films that don’t usually get programed in movie theatres.
Eligibility:
– Submissions are open to feature and short films.
– The festival accepts fiction, documentary and experimental films.
– Films must have been produced after January 1, 2025.
–The festival gives priority to national, international, and worldwide premieres of foreign films, as well as worldwide premieres of Argentine films. It also prioritizes regional premieres (American, Latin American, South American) in both cases.
– Films that have been shown in Argentina prior to their official screening at BAFICI will be disqualified.
– Submission must be done via the festival’s website.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: December 18, 2025
