16th Beijing International Film Festival – Call for Entry 2026

The Beijing International Film Festival (China) is accepting films until January 25, 2026.

About the festival:
Beijing International Film Festival (hereinafter referred to as “BJIFF”) was founded in 2011. As the first major international exchange event of film culture in China each year, it usually takes place in April. The main theme of BJIFF is “Share the Screen, Shape the Future”, with the core value concept of “Beauty in Variety, Harmony in Diversity”. After years of development, BJIFF has become one of Beijing’s most internationally influential annual large-scale cultural events. 

Tiantan Award Competition eligibility:
– Feature films (over 70 minutes).
– Film should be at least Chinese Mainland Premiere.
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2025.

Forward Future Competition eligibility:
– Feature films (over 70 minutes).
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2025.
– Director’s first or second feature-length film.

Short Film Section eligibility:
– Films must be a narrative or genre short film.
– Films should be between 5 to 30 minutes.
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2025.

Beijing Film Panorama Section eligibility:
– Feature films (Over 60 minutes).
– Accepts fiction, animation and documentary films.
– Films must be completed after April 1, 2025.

– In general, the festival will prioritize World premieres or international premieres.
