
The Taiwan International Documentary Festival (Taiwan) is accepting documentaries until December 4, 2025.
About the festival:
Taiwan International Documentary Festival (TIDF), organized by the Taiwan Film and Audiovisual Institute, is one of the major documentary film festivals in Asia, laying emphasis on promoting outstanding Asian documentaries and creating closer associations among filmmakers in the region.
Eligibility:
– Open to all subject matters, forms, styles, lengths, and formats.
– Documentaries should have been completed after December 1, 2023.
– Films must be Taiwan Premiere (i.e. the film should not have been screened, broadcasted, or available online in any form, for any period of time in Taiwan). Taiwanese productions (satisfying at least one of the following criteria) are exempted from the premiere restriction: 1) A work directed by an individual holding a Taiwanese National ID or a valid residence permit during the period of the current edition of the film festival period. 2) A work with Taiwan listed as one of its production countries of the film.
– Films that have been submitted for consideration in previous festival editions are not eligible.
– Non-Mandarin or non-English speaking films must have Chinese or English subtitles.
– Submissions must be made via the Festival’s website.
– Entry Fee: FREE
– Deadline: December 4, 2025 (12pm GMT+8)
– Notification Date: February 2026
