Hear Me: Our Summer directed by Jo Seon-ho will open the Korean Film Festival in Australia which will take place from August 21 – 26, 2025 in Sydney. The festival will then tour around Australia until October 12, 2025.

Yong-Joon, a young man searching for his life’s purpose, supports his family by delivering lunch boxes for their small business. During a delivery to a local swimming pool, he meets Yeo-Reum and is instantly smitten. Discovering she is deaf, Yong-Joon reaches out using sign language he learned years ago, laying the foundation for a heartfelt connection. Yeo-Reum, meanwhile, dedicates herself to nurturing her younger sister, Ga-Eul, a hearing-impaired swimmer with ambitious dreams. Balancing part-time work and Ga-Eul’s demanding training schedule, Yeo-Reum has little time for herself. Yet, Yong-Joon’s genuine care, expressed through the lunch boxes he delivers, slowly warms her heart, weaving a tender tale of love, sacrifice, and understanding. (KOFFIA 2025)
