Space Cadet directed by Kid Koala (Eric San) will open the Hong Kong Kids International Film Festival which will take place from July 19 – August 10, 2025 in Hong Kong.

Robot, a first generation Guardianbot, has raised Celeste to become a brilliant astronaut. As she leaves for her first solo mission, he is left behind on Earth. Meanwhile, in the vastness of outer space, Celeste’s adventure is full of discoveries until unexpected dangers leave her stranded on a distant planet. About the Director:
Kid Koala(Eric san) is a Montreal-based scratch DJ, composer, and visual artist known for blending music with storytelling. He has released five solo albums and collaborated with Gorillaz, Deltron 3030, and toured with Radiohead and Beastie Boys. His compositions appear in films like Baby Driver, Looper, and The Great Gatsby, and for platforms like Sesame Street and Cartoon Network. He also scored the award-winning game Floor Kids. As an author, he created the graphic novels Nufonia Must Fall and Space Cadet, both adapted into immersive live shows.
