Dear Asian filmmakers, the FIPADOC International Documentary Festival (France) is accepting documentaries until October 6, 2025.

About the festival:
FIPADOC is the first event on the circuit of major international documentary festivals each year. In 2025 it will bring members of the public and professionals together for screenings of a selection of outstanding documentary films. Hosting meet‑and‑greets and premiering new projects, FIPADOC is committed to promoting innovation, image appreciation, and new talent.

Note: This article will cover only competitions/sections where Asian filmmakers can apply.

Competitive Sections:
– International Documentary Competition
– Musical Documentary Competition
– Impact Documentary Competition
– New Talent Competition (under 60 minutes)
– SMART Competition
– Short Film Competition (under 20 minutes)

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts features (over 50 minutes) and short documentaries (under 20 minutes).
– Documentaries must have been produced between October 2024 and October 2025.
– Films must be submitted in their original language with English and/or French subtitles.
– The festival prioritizes films with France Premiere. In the case of short documentaries, the festival has no constraints regarding premiere status.
– A film already submitted during a previous festival edition cannot be re-submitted for the upcoming edition.
– Submissions must be made via FestiCiné or ShortFilmDepot.
– Submission Fees:
* Feature Documentaries (over 60 minutes) – $ 60 Euros
* Feature Documentaries (between 21 – 60 minutes) – $ 48 Euros
* Short Documentaries – $ 10 Euros
* Documentary Series – $ 120 Euros
* Digital Experiences – $ 18 Euros

* Non-Competitive Section – September 26, 2025
* Grand Prix Competition – October 6, 2025
– Notification Date: December 19, 2025
