Dear Asian filmmakers, the L’Alternativa, Barcelona Independent Film Festival (Spain) is accepting films until July 8, 2025.

About the festival:
The Barcelona Independent Film Festival, l’Alternativa, is now in its 32nd edition. For over three decades we have been offering filmgoers and professionals a unique opportunity to discover and enjoy screenings and activities that value creative freedom, diversity, innovation, commitment and thought-provoking reflection.

Eligibility:
– The festival accepts short films (under 45 minutes) and feature films (over 60 minutes).
– Films must be produced after January 1, 2024.
– With the exception of films with English, Spanish or Catalan dialogue or text, all preview copies (online screeners) must include English subtitles.
– Submissions must be made via Website.
