
The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival (Taiwan) is accepting short films (in Chinese language) and feature films until July 31, 2025.
About the festival:
The Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival (TGHFF) is the largest film festival in Taiwan. Starting in 1980 as a non-competitive showcase, TGHFF aims at introducing prominent cinema from around the world, in order to promote cinema as an art form and to enhance intercultural understanding through cinema.
Eligibility:
– Submission to the Festival is open for feature, documentary, experimental, animation.
– Feature films over 60 minutes are eligible for submission.
– The festival only accepts short films in Chinese languages. At least half of the film’s dialogue must be in Chinese
languages and directors of the film must be of Chinese-speaking origin.
– Films should have been completed after January 1st, 2024.
– Films should be Taiwan Premiere.
– All selected films will be screened in their original version. In principle, if not with English dialogue, films must be subtitled in English or Traditional Chinese. The projection will be made along with Traditional Chinese subtitling using an electronic system.
– The festival accepts DCP or digital files with a minimum quality of ProRes 422 for exhibition.
– Submissions must be made via the festival’s website.
– Submission Fee: FREE
– Deadline: July 31,2025
– Notification Date: October 2, 2025
